Position: Contract Officer

Section : Commercial & Marketing – O&IE

Company: Nakilat - Keppel Offshore & Marine Ltd

Location : Ras Laffan / Qatar

Job Summary and Purpose

Accountable for contract preparation, review and management.

 

Accountabilities

  1. Prepare the Subcontract or contract for a RFQ and or Tender
  2. Review Contract requirements and conditions with Legal, Finance & Insurance team and Ops team.
  3. Clients sub/Contract management during execution
  4. Assist in all contract reviews and contract drafting with subcontractors on back to back liability basis or covering the liabilities limited to their works.
  5. Identifies the pre-bid agreements with Bidders, supplier or vendors, to be completed, if necessary.  
  6. Assists to develop the Proposal Plan and review the Enquiry Summary.
  7. Co-organizes and holds the bid kick-off meeting.
  8. Carry out Risk assessment for the enquiry in pre-bid stage.
  9. Assist in preparation of BoD paper/resolution, if needed.
  10. Manages the interfaces with all NKOM departments, Partners and Client
  11. Provides review assistance to the approval of the scope of work of each party involved in the bid.
  12. Provides review assistance to the approval of the cost estimate of internally performed activities developed by the OIEI Estimator and based on the evaluations made by the other technical departments (Engineering, Procurement & Supply Chain, Quality Systems & Assurance).
  13. Provides review assistance to the approval of the preliminary project cash flow developed by the OIEI Estimator and discuss with Shipyard Finance Manager
  14. Provides review assistance to the endorsement of the project organization, overall project schedule, overall execution plan, overall resources plan developed by the Operations coordinator.
  15. Integrates proposal packages and reconcile possible discrepancies.

Qualifications, Experience and Job Skills

Qualifications:
•    A Degree or Diploma in Engineering

Experience:
•    With at least 3 years of relevant work experience
