Job Summary and Purpose
Provide support to the Head of Marine Personnel in the recruitment of staff and in implementing the policies & procedures for all the marine personnel.
Accountabilities
Key Accountabilities:
Storage of Documents:
1. Ensure that all the required documents of the Marine Personnel department as identified in the Safety Management System and supporting Working Procedures, QGTCMI marine personnel employee records and the company required training requirements are protected and correctly stored at all times.
Payment of Salaries:
2. Ensure that the monthly salaries of the employees of QGTCMI are paid on time and is consistent with the MPM defined prepayment documentation. Liaise with the Treasury Division to resolve any delayed payments to individual payees.

3. Adhere to all relevant QHSE policies, procedures, instructions and controls so that NAKILAT provides a safe, world class, secure and environmentally responsible service to customers, the public and its own people.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures:
4. Follow all relevant departmental policies and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Others:
5. Arrange for the attendance of all marine personnel at seminars, visits to NSQL head office, sea staff.
6. Assists in the implementation of the personnel policies of the company’s marine staff.
7. Perform any other related duties and tasks as requested by the Head of Marine Personnel.

Interactions and Working Relations
Internal:
• Regular interaction with ship based marine personnel
• Liaise and coordinate with Learning & Development section regarding development plans
External:
• Interaction with external recruitment agencies and travel companies
Qualifications, Experience and Job Skills
Qualifications:
• Minimum of high school degree
Experience:
• Minimum 2 - 5 years’ of personnel related experience in a medium to large sized company
Job Specific Skills:
• Reasonable amount of understanding of the Maritime industry and the extensive legal requirements pertaining to employment of marine personnel
• Understanding of travel and government procedures
• Knowledge of HR principles and practices
Computer literate- Microsoft suite of products
